What You Will Do:
If you have proven success at implementing quality initiatives that drive company growth, then this position is for you! This highly visible position at our Turner Road Vintners facility will require you to manage the development and implementation of E. & J. Gallo Winery's site quality assurance programs, including raw materials, manufacturing processes and finished products in conformance with established programs and standards. You will lead the charge in transforming our new site to incorporate Gallo standards & initiatives while driving the implementation and consistency of standard processes. What You Will Do:
Lead Site HACCP program and ISO systems (FSSC 22000, Lab/LIMS) QFS Regulatory inspections and investigations & QFS internal site audit and any external certification audits Training of site personnel, demonstration of verification to global and corporate standards Quality assurance programs in accordance with customer requirements, specifications and production schedules Inspection, sampling, testing, and packaging of supplies/components and finished products Operating budget and capital spending plan Achievement of performance and development goals and objectives staff Collaborate Winegrowing, engineering and operations alignment in quality system and HACCP requirements of raw materials, processing and finished product compliance. Laboratory Network with accountability for laboratory equipment reliability, laboratory quality systems performance, and lab/method performance, capacity, consistency and turn around time Continuous evaluation and auditing of quality and food safety programs. Support Quality feedback data from customers and consumers to drive continual improvement activities Implements HACCP, Laboratory and QFS system governance document revisions Department and interdepartmental planning and management teams What You Need:
Bachelor's degree in Biological or Chemical Sciences, Engineering, or Food Science plus 5 years Quality and Food Safety experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility to include supervisory or managerial experience; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 9 years Plant Quality and Food Safety experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility to include supervisory or managerial experience. What Will Set You Apart:
Bachelor's degree in Biological or Chemical Sciences, Engineering, or Food Science plus 8 years of Plant Quality and Food Safety manufacturing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility to include supervisory or managerial experience. Master's degree.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Quality ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
